Candida treatments....
Candida is a fungus that is present on the skin and in several mucous membranes, such as the vagina, mouth or rectum. The fungus is also capable of traveling through the blood stream, and can affect the throat, intestines and valves of the heart.
Candida becomes a negative agent (and develops infection) when some body system fails to keeps its growth in check and it is allowed to grow out of control, also sometimes referred to as candida overgrowth.
Usually, the factors that allowed the growth of candida to become uncontrolled are not known.
One very common cause is having treated another body system infection with a particular type of antibiotic, and that antibiotic destroyed certain naturally occurring bacteria, which were responsible for monitoring candida production.
The result is a condition referred to as candidiasis moniliasis, which is commonly referred to as a yeast infection.
This condition is referred to in different ways, depending on the site of the growth of the candida.
If the infection is in the mouth, it is called thrush, if it occurs directly on the skin as a rash, it is called diaper rash, and if it leads to vaginalitis moniliasis, it is known as the vaginal yeast infection.
Before we discuss candida treatments, let's discuss....
Candida symptoms
As stated above, candida can exist in several different sites.
As such, the symptoms of each site will vary. With the occurrence in the mouth, called thrush, the candida symptoms appear as a creamy, with white or blue patches, substance on the tongue, while the tongue itself is extremely inflamed from the infection.
Candida occurring as diaper rash usually appears red and scaly on the skin. The vaginal infection usually involves production of a white or yellow discharge. The walls of the vagina become inflamed, and that leads to an itching and burning sensation.
If the female partner infects the male with the candida, the penis can develop inflammation (located on the head of the penis) and this is referred to as balanitis.
Additionally, if a person is scratching at an infection at a particular site, the infection may transfer to their hands and fingernails. This would be indicated by a red, swelled area, around the bed of the nail.
There is even a disturbing correlation between candida and seizures.
Candida treatments
Many candida symptoms and infections can be alleviated, by the use of over-the-counter home remedies as part of an overall candida elimination program or what is referred to as candida cleansing and natural candida cleansing.
Following candida diet guidelines is also important too along with knowledge of candida albican cure and curing cadida.
The modes of currently available over-the-counter medications used as candida treatments are either topical or oral.
The topical medications include anti-fungal drugs. It is found that most women prefer the less lengthy treatment schedules and the most popular over-the-counter candida treatments today are the 1-3 day treatments that are available.
Of course, the best treatment for candida is to avoid development of the candida symptoms and infection altogether. The best and most simple way to do this is to keep it to keep exposed skin surfaces clean and dry, and free from abrasions and cuts, which will encourage development to candida infections.
