Taking the candida clense test
Like most infections, the more you know about how to avoid development of candida, the better of you will be.
Of course, step one should always be determining whether or not you actually have a candida infection.
There are several available ‘screening quizzes’ which ask about certain symptoms you may be experiencing.
The most common questions asked during the screening are: the types of foods you crave (specifically if you crave foods high in yeast content); noting whether or not you have the following symptoms (rashes, numbness, burning, tingling, nasal or sinus congestion, bad breath, bothersome or persistent vaginal itching, bloating, gas, urinary frequency, etc).
For women, whether or not they have taken birth control, certain mental symptoms are assessed (including feelings of anxiety or depression); whether or not steroid drugs have been taken within a certain period of time; if exposure to certain scents and smells worsens symptoms (i.e. cigarette smoke or perfume); if symptoms worsen when exposed to certain types of weather conditions (mainly damp conditions); checking for other mold infections experienced, and questions about receipt of certain antibiotics.
After you complete your ‘quiz’ you will be assigned a score based on your answers and told whether or not it is believed that you have a candida infection.
And if you do, then you may want to look into natural candida cleansing or other options.

Candida Cleanses
Once you have determined that you have an actual candida infection, it is time to decide what to do to treat it.
The candida clense is a widely used term, and very vague in its nature. However, when looking from source to source there seems to be the same pieces of advice for natural candida cleansing offered over and over again.
These would be: an alteration in diet. Avoiding foods that are known to promote candida growth can be a very successful way of avoiding further candida infection outbreaks.
There are foods that should be limited (i.e. sugar, dairy products, wheat, gluten, corn, caffeine, yeast, alcohol and high fat foods), and foods that should be avoided altogether [sugar (best to eliminate entirely), fruit, vinegar, mushrooms, peanuts and processed meats and cheeses).
It is very commonly suggested to increase intake of certain vitamin and nutritional supplements.
Certain supplements may help restore the bacteria that was destroyed that allowed the candida that normally exists in healthy levels to grow out of control and develop an altered state.
With use of available techniques for a natural candida cleanse, results should be seen within 2 to 4 weeks of beginning therapy.
It is important to note that when the altered candida is destroyed, it releases substances that are 'pollutants' to the body.
Normal body removal of these toxic materials is expected, and no harm should come from their release.
However, if the body is not functioning properly and allows the toxic materials to build up in the system, the following symptoms may occur: aching, bloating, dizziness, nausea, and overall “out of sorts” feeling.
Pay close attention during candida cleanses for the development of any of these symptoms and talk to your doctor right away if you notice them appearing.
